SetConfig Application has encountered a problem and needs to close - problem solved here












Another error solved. Well, not now, some time ago  but it has started to be very annoying because we still have it.

ERROR:
Set Config Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for inconvenience.

This usually appear when windows starts and there are some problems with some drivers, in most cases HP printers.

I've recently have that error again and wanted to share the solution with you here, to help you get through it.

I've installed an HP LaserJet 1010 Series Driver and at the end, the program said that did not finished successfully but the printer works fine.

But at every windows restart, the error appears without shame :-).

From their official page, the error may occur for the following models of HP Printers:


LaserJet 1010/1012/1015 Series
LaserJet 1150
LaserJet 1160
LaserJet 1300 Series
LaserJet 1320 Series
LaserJet 3015/3020/3030/3380 Series
Color LaserJet 2550

  3. Lol, like all the things around us. Instead of becoming friendly they just tend to complicate. It doesn't matter if you are a tech guy or a noobie. They are just too many and refuse to to what they suppose to do. Eh, that is the future. All full of errors and ignorance. A lot of people already used with a lot of errors and even not comment, they take it as it is. So let them think they are "friendly", hehe. The best we can do is share with others what can be fixed.
