FRANCE - Closer to an official position regarding ICOs and Bitcoin - October 9, 2017

Bitcoin world introduced in 2008 a new way of technology with blockchain. Applications and cryptocurrency it should have a form of general acceptance to make it work.

Lately the major player in Bitcoin world, China has banned all exchanges and ICOs (initial coin offerings).
Other countries accept it with more or less restrictions.
For example in Spain, there are lot of places where Bitcoin can be used.
In others, the local powers let people pay taxes with a small amount for starting point.
So, changes will be for sure and not far away from now.

LATEST NEWS about how countries takes position is about France.

It is not a decision yet, it is a statement from Robert Ophele, the presidend of AMF (Autorité des marchés financiers).
He is saying that there is interest from the ones who wants to avoid:
tax evasion, money laundering or the financing of terrorism.
and
But it also meets more legitimate needs for cash transfers in a fast and cost-free way in the world.
The AMF is currently analyzing the legal framework for ICOs (initial coins offering, ed.), Which are in the process of developing in France. We want to get a quick position on the issue,
So, we should see soon what side France takes regarding cryptocurrencies.
Also, in other news (cryptocompare) it says that they want to recognise Bitcoin with some rules:
The French Government has placed onerous regulation and a form of Green listing on the industry. This came after the French police raided and exchange and seized over 200 thousand Euro’s worth of Bitcoin. There idea is that any exchange or wallet should hold data linking the specific person to the addresses and therefore removing the anonymity that Bitcoin can provide. The French Government has otherwise declared its intention to recognise Bitcoin as a currency but also impose transactions on various transaction types.
